SIX MILE, South Carolina — The communities of Six Mile, South Carolina, and Eastman, Georgia, are mourning the passing of Walter William Singletary, 48, who passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Born on February 20, 1978, in McRae, Georgia, Singletary grew up in Dodge County and graduated from Dodge County High School. He pursued specialized technical training at Heart of Georgia Technical College, earning an associate degree in Aircraft Structural Technology. Singletary went on to serve for several years as a skilled civil service specialist at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. An avid gardener, outdoorsman, and backyard poultry enthusiast, Singletary was deeply devoted to his family and known for his warmth and generosity.

Official Status and Funeral Arrangements

Southerland Funeral Chapel in Eastman, Georgia, has been entrusted with the official arrangements, with public services confirmed for Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Family visitation will take place on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Southerland Funeral Chapel, followed immediately by formal funeral services at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Jimmy Cole Yawn. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Eastman. Singletary is survived by his wife of 14 years, Julie Ann Oneal Singletary; his children and stepchildren; multiple grandchildren; his brother, Daniel "Danny" Singletary; his sister, Lisa Craig; and a broad network of extended family members.
