A standout multi-sport student-athlete at St. Paul’s Episcopal School (Class of 2022), O'Dell earned widespread recognition in both varsity football and baseball. During his senior baseball season, he recorded an 8–2 pitching record with a 1.80 ERA, 72 strikeouts, and three shutouts, leading to All-State honorable mention honors and inclusion on the Coastal Alabama Terrific 20 roster. He also received St. Paul’s Jerry Strange Coaches Award for exceptional character, leadership, and work ethic. O'Dell went on to play collegiate baseball for the University of South Alabama Jaguars, completing his collegiate eligibility in 2026.
