The family of Walter William Singletary is mourning the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and relative following his passing on September 30, 2026, at his residence in Six Mile, South Carolina. He was 48 years old.


Born on February 20, 1978, in McRae, Georgia, Walter attended Dodge County High School before earning a degree in Aircraft Structural Technology from Heart of Georgia Technical College. He later worked for several years as a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base.

Walter was known for his dedication to his family and his enjoyment of everyday activities. He loved gardening, growing vegetables and flowers, raising chickens, and maintaining his yard. Fishing, grilling, and spending time with family and friends were among his favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Julie Ann Oneal Singletary, his children, grandchildren, stepchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. His life and the memories he shared with his loved ones remain an important part of his family's story.

According to the funeral home, visitation is scheduled for October 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Southerland Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
