BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — Authorities in Jefferson County are investigating the death of 46-year-old Sarah Lynn Henderson, who was located deceased on Wednesday morning, September 9, 2026. As reported by local news coverage in AL.com, Ms. Henderson was discovered unresponsive along the 100 block of 84th Street North in the East Lake neighborhood of Birmingham.

Discovery and Emergency Response According to preliminary incident bulletins released by the Birmingham Police Department, a city public works maintenance worker routinely servicing the block discovered Ms. Henderson at approximately 7:30 a.m. Emergency medical service personnel and police officers responded to the scene, where attending paramedics pronounced her deceased. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office arrived shortly after to take jurisdiction of the scene and assist police investigators.
