PENN HILLS, Pennsylvania — A fatal shooting inside a residential neighborhood in Allegheny County has claimed the life of 18-year-old Kevin Walter and led to serious criminal charges against a 17-year-old suspect. Keefer Street Shooting and Police Response According to preliminary criminal court documents and investigation updates provided by the Allegheny County Police Department, 17-year-old Tayquawn Mills and another witness arrived at Mr. Walter’s Keefer Street home under the premise of conducting a narcotics transaction. Homicide detectives established that the encounter quickly escalated into violence after the accompanying witness indicated an intent to commit a robbery inside the residence. A gunfire exchange ensued inside the home, resulting in both Mr. Walter and Mills sustaining chest gunshot wounds.
