UCLA Department of Architecture and Urban Design Mourns Passing of Professor Heather Roberge
LOS ANGELES — The academic and architectural design communities in Los Angeles are mourning the death of Heather Roberge, a prominent architect, author, and longtime professor at the UCLA Department of Architecture and Urban Design (AUD). Roberge, who served as chair of UCLA AUD from 2017 to 2021, was a leading voice in spatial design, digital fabrication, and material innovation, as well as the founder and principal of the award-winning design practice murmur. Her death was confirmed through tributes from colleagues, former students, and institutional peers across the design community.
