Hayti Community Mourns Young Siblings Parrish and Kamyrah Anderson Killed in U.S. 61 Rollover Crash

MATTHEWS, Missouri — A tragic two-vehicle collision on U.S. Route 61 in New Madrid County claimed the lives of two young siblings, 9-year-old Parrish Anderson and 10-year-old Kamyrah Anderson of Hayti, Missouri, on the night of Friday, September 25, 2026. Emergency personnel responded to the crash site approximately three miles north of Matthews shortly before 10:00 p.m.

According to preliminary reports, the children were passengers in a Lincoln Nautilus traveling along U.S. 61 when the vehicle struck the rear of a Ford F-150. The collision caused the Lincoln to veer off the roadway and overturn multiple times. First responders located both children inside the overturned vehicle, where they were pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 9:56 p.m.

Four other occupants in the Lincoln sustained injuries and were transported to regional medical facilities for emergency treatment. The injured individuals included the 33-year-old female driver, two teenage boys, and a 62-year-old woman.
