MONTGOMERY, Alabama — Reverend Mack Jenkins, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, and pastor of Rock Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Burkville, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Pastor Jenkins was widely respected throughout Lowndes and Montgomery counties for his dedicated spiritual leadership and pastoral ministry, serving as a pillar of guidance and faith for his congregation and the surrounding faith community.

Official Status and Memorial Service Schedule

Funeral arrangements and formal services have been established under the direction of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home. Public viewing and visitation hours will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1120 Bragg Street in Montgomery.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Creek Missionary Baptist Church, located at 210 Rock Creek Road in Burkville, Alabama. Pastor Jenkins will lie in repose at the church for two hours prior to the service. Elder Tom Gardner III will officiate the ceremony, and Rev. Eric E. Brown will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow immediately in the church cemetery.
