Beloved Coach Jennifer Ann Stachowicz Passes Away Following 18-Day Medical Battle

Jennifer Ann Stachowicz passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Friday, October 2, 2026, following an 18-day medical struggle that drew widespread prayer and support from her local community.

Her husband, Mark Stachowicz, shared the announcement via a CaringBridge journal entry, detailing that Jennifer's condition declined following the discovery of extensive, irreversible neurological damage. Medical specialists advised the family that her ventricles were expanding rapidly, posing an immediate life-threatening risk and reaching the upper limit of possible neurological recovery. Following detailed consultations with her care team, Mark, Jennifer’s mother Cindie, and their children made the decision to transition her to palliative comfort care on Thursday evening. Mechanical ventilation was removed at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, and Jennifer remained surrounded by family until taking her final breath approximately 15 hours later.

Official Status and Funeral Arrangements
The Stachowicz family and medical personnel confirmed her passing to relatives, church members, and community supporters.

The family expressed immense gratitude for the overwhelming support, meals, and messages received throughout Jennifer's hospitalization. Funeral, visitation, and formal memorial service details are currently being finalized by her family and will be publicly released once complete.

Jennifer was widely celebrated across her community as a devoted wife, mother, coach, and faithful Christian whose energy and mentorship impacted countless athletes and families.

Sincere thoughts, prayers, and community support remain extended to Mark, their children, her mother Cindie, and all who mourn her passing.
