Investigators reported that a westbound sedan driven by Roy, carrying two teenage passengers, crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound pickup truck. First responders and emergency medical personnel provided immediate life-saving interventions at the scene before airlifting Roy via life flight to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with life-threatening injuries. The two passengers in Roy's vehicle and the driver of the pickup truck were also transported to local hospitals for medical treatment.
