DOS PALOS, California — A tragic vehicle accident near the intersection of Island Road and Emory Road near Dos Palos claimed the life of 20-year-old Cynthia Esquivel on Saturday evening, September 19, 2026. At approximately 8:18 p.m., bystanders engaging in off-road recreation in the rural canal area discovered a 2024 Chevrolet overturned and submerged in a water-filled canal.
