Airman Tamera Moniq Bolden-Cleckley Found Deceased Near Eglin Air Force Base

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Florida — Senior Airman Tamera Moniq Bolden-Cleckley, 26, of Boerne, Texas, was found deceased inside a burned vehicle on Department of the Air Force property in Okaloosa County, Florida.

Patrol units from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and the 96th Security Forces Squadron responded to the area near Range Road 234 and Lewis Turner Boulevard, located on the Eglin Test and Training Range Complex. Following initial discovery and scene security measures, federal medical examiners positively identified the body as Bolden-Cleckley, a radiology technician assigned to the 96th Surgical Operations Squadron. She had served in the U.S. Air Force since 2021.

Official Status and OSI Military Investigation

The Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) has assumed primary jurisdiction and launched an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. Authorities have not publicly disclosed cause-of-death determinations or potential contributing factors pending official forensic results.

Military leadership confirmed that support resources—including the Air Force Casualty Assistance Office, the Chaplain's Office, and mental health counseling agencies—have been deployed to assist family members, service personnel, and colleagues affected by the loss.
