LOS ANGELES - Shelley Fabares, the actor and singer known for roles in The Donna Reed Show and Coach and for the pop hit Johnny Angel, died Saturday in Los Angeles at age 82.

Fabares began acting as a child and became widely known as Mary Stone on The Donna Reed Show, where she was a regular from 1958 to 1963.
