Swansea Crash Leaves 92-Year-Old Woman Dead

A serious road crash in Swansea has become a fatal crash investigation following the death of a 92-year-old woman who was critically injured in a two-vehicle collision.

According to police, emergency services responded to the intersection of Rawson Street and Pelican Street shortly after midday on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Officers from the Lake Macquarie Police District arrived at the scene and discovered two vehicles involved in the crash: a Subaru SUV and a Toyota utility.

The elderly woman was travelling in the front passenger seat of the Subaru when the collision occurred.

Woman Dies After Being Taken to Hospital

NSW Ambulance paramedics provided medical treatment at the scene before the 92-year-old woman was transported to John Hunter Hospital in critical condition.

Despite medical treatment, police were later notified that the woman had died in hospital.
