WELLS BRANCH, Texas — A violent incident in North Travis County claimed the lives of 37-year-old Anecia Kay Thacker and 32-year-old Lamonica Webb on Wednesday morning, September 23, 2026. Travis County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Shoreline Drive in the Wells Branch area at approximately 8:45 a.m. following a call from the property manager. Upon entering the residence, deputies located both women deceased inside the apartment suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.

Official Status, Arrest, and Criminal Investigation
While preliminary assessments investigated the possibility of a murder-suicide, subsequent forensic examinations, autopsies, and ballistics analyses led detectives to reclassify the deaths as a double homicide.
Sheriff's Office homicide detectives identified 24-year-old Michael Robinson as a primary person of interest who was present inside the residence at the time of the shootings. On Friday, September 25, law enforcement officers located and took Robinson into custody. He has been formally charged with Capital Murder in connection with the deaths of Thacker and Webb. Robinson remains in custody as homicide detectives work to establish a complete timeline and motive behind the shooting.
