MADRID, Spain — Renowned Spanish actor and prolific voice performer Antonio "Tony" Canal has passed away at the age of 90, concluding a distinguished career spanning more than six decades across theater, television, film, and dubbing.

The Madrid Dubbing Artists’ Union (Sindicato de Artistas de Doblaje de Madrid, ADOMA) officially confirmed Canal’s death on Friday, September 25, 2026. Born in Barcelona in 1936, Canal received early theatrical training at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and the Escuela de Arte Dramático Adrià Gual before establishing his career in Madrid during the 1960s.
