According to crash reports, Lott was operating a 2023 Dodge Charger westbound when she lost control of the vehicle. The Dodge crossed the center line into the eastbound lanes directly into the path of an oncoming 2012 BMW X3, driven by a 53-year-old Lake Worth Beach man, resulting in a head-on impact. Following the collision, the engine compartment of the Dodge caught fire with passengers trapped inside. Good Samaritans successfully pulled one occupant from the burning Dodge prior to emergency service arrival. Firefighters utilized specialized hydraulic rescue tools (Jaws of Life) to extricate the remaining victims while extinguishing the blaze.
Lott and her passenger, Ryan Moody of Boynton Beach, sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. A 25-year-old female passenger in the Dodge and the driver of the BMW both suffered critical injuries and were transported to Delray Medical Center for emergency trauma care.
Official Status and Traffic Investigation
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division is conducting an active investigation into the crash mechanics and contributing factors. Investigators noted in the initial crash report that only the driver of the BMW was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the impact, while toxicology reports indicated no initial presence of alcohol or drugs. Deputized collision reconstruction specialists continue to evaluate physical evidence gathered along Old Boynton Road.
