ORANGEBURG COUNTY, South Carolina — Authorities and family members have confirmed the identity of the driver killed in an early-morning single-vehicle crash on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Emergency services and South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) troopers responded to the scene at the intersection of Five Chop Road and Old Number Six Highway at approximately 1:40 a.m.

According to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a GMC Sierra was traveling northbound on Five Chop Road when it passed through the intersection, departed the roadway, and collided with an embankment. First responders located the driver, identified by family members as K.J. Stringfellow, as the sole occupant inside the pickup truck. He was pronounced deceased at the scene from fatal impact injuries.
