Moundsville Couple Monica and David Will Killed in Home Shooting Incident

Incident Summary and Tactical Response

According to official reports from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office:

Open-Line 911 Call: At approximately 1:40 a.m., emergency dispatchers received a silent 911 call from the Will residence, prompting deputies to perform a welfare check.

Initial Contact & Escalation: Upon arrival, deputies encountered 25-year-old Cyle B. Fabrizio, who fired a handgun toward officers. Fabrizio then appeared in the doorway holding the couple’s juvenile daughter at gunpoint.

Deputy-Involved Shooting: Assessing an immediate threat to the child's life, a deputy fired one rifle round, striking Fabrizio. He was later pronounced deceased.

Crime Scene Discovery: Inside the home, deputies found Monica L. Will, 46, and her husband, David D. Will, 44, deceased from gunshot wounds.

Investigative Findings & Motive

Preliminary findings indicate that Fabrizio shot Monica through a window before forcibly entering the residence and fatally shooting David.

Investigators confirmed that Fabrizio had a history of grievances with the couple and had shown an interest in their 16-year-old daughter. Monica and David had strongly opposed any interaction due to the significant age disparity. Both the 16-year-old daughter and the couple's 14-year-old son survived the incident without physical injuries and have been placed in the care of relatives.
