Andover High School Student and Athlete Paxton Roy Remembered After Fatal Crash Injuries

ANDOVER, Minnesota — The Andover community and local youth sports organizations are mourning the loss of 16-year-old Paxton Roy, an Andover High School student and multi-sport athlete who has passed away from injuries sustained in a severe motor vehicle collision.

The two-vehicle crash occurred on June 29 along Crosstown Boulevard Northwest as Roy was traveling home with two friends. Following a head-on collision, emergency medical personnel and first responders rendered critical care at the scene before Roy was airlifted via air ambulance to Regions Hospital in St. Paul with life-threatening injuries.
