Police activity near the Kroger grocery store on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green, Kentucky, has raised questions about reports of a possible shooting. However, available reports do not confirm a shooting at the Kroger location on September 26, 2026.

A related incident occurred on September 18, when Bowling Green police responded to a report of a person with a weapon on Campbell Lane. The report prompted a precautionary lockdown at nearby Bowling Green Independent Schools. Officers located the individual and confirmed the person did not have a weapon. The lockdown was subsequently lifted.
