Kerrville Police Department Investigating Possible Murder-Suicide Involving Shannon and Wayne Ratliff

KERRVILLE, Texas — The Kerrville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting following the discovery of Shannon Ratliff, 62, and Wayne Ratliff, 64, inside a local residence on Wednesday morning, September 16, 2026. At approximately 9:45 a.m., officers responded to a home in the 600 block of Lois Street to conduct a welfare check after receiving reports that a male resident had not been seen for several days. Upon gaining entry, police located both individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
