The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has stated the real reason Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, is fighting him.
Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ on Tuesday, Wike said some of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governors collected money from Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, and yet could not give him second term.
The APC,m governors had insisted that they would not support any ‘rainbow coalition.’
Reacting, Wike said, “Uzodinma was the governor of Imo State, but Tinubu was not able to get 10% of the votes from his state. Even in Ebonyi State, the same thing happened.
“All these things you are seeing didn’t start today, it started with the ministerial position.
“APC Governors are not happy that I was given Minister of FCT. During the crisis with my Governor (Fubara), they misled my governor. They couldn’t give the governor a second term.
“Was it Rainbow Coalition that also made APC win National Assembly elections in Ebonyi, Abia and Enugu States, where the President did not have ten percent of the votes?”
