Mona Community Mourns Passing of 33-Year-Old Karley Diane Slaymaker

MONA, Utah — The community of Mona, Utah, is mourning the passing of 33-year-old Karley Diane Slaymaker, who died on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Born to Clay Slaymaker and Jennie McGarry, Karley spent her life in Utah, working across healthcare and in the beverage industry alongside her father. Known as a free spirit with a deep commitment to caring for others, her life was centered around her family, particularly her two sons, Brantley and Houston.

Official Status and Memorial Service Schedule

Surviving family members and local authorities have finalized arrangements for a public remembrance. A celebration of life gathering for family, friends, and community members will take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mona Municipal Center, located at 20 W. Center St., Mona, Utah 84645. Family members have requested privacy as they prepare for the private interment and upcoming services.

She was preceded in death by her sister Jenay Cannon, step-brother Trason “Hoss” Jackman, grandparents Ted and Sheila Cross, and uncle Austin Moos. Memorial funds or support initiatives for her surviving children will be shared by the family during the scheduled services.
