Investigators reported that Howell was stationary on his motorcycle at a red light when an approaching vehicle failed to stop and struck him from behind. The force of the rear-end impact ejected Howell onto the roadway, while his motorcycle was propelled into a second stopped vehicle. First responders performed life-saving CPR at the scene, but he tragically succumbed to his injuries. Authorities confirmed that the striking driver was transported for medical evaluation and subsequently booked on vehicular homicide and DUI charges.
