According to statements released by the Frankfort Police Department, responding officers and a 17-year-old bystander performed emergency CPR on the toddler before paramedics transported the child to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, where he was pronounced deceased.
Coroner and Task Force Investigation
Representatives from the Will County Coroner’s Office confirmed that an initial autopsy was conducted on Wednesday, September 2, establishing the preliminary manner of death as an apparent homicide. Official cause of death determinations remain pending final toxicology and forensic reports.
