A Career Transition Focused on Family Future Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Mr. Senase had moved to Chicago with his wife, Chelsea, and their children just two weeks prior to the incident to pursue higher education. He was enrolled at the Illinois Media School with aspirations of becoming a professional audio engineer. His wife, Chelsea Senase, publicly shared that the relocation was intended to build a better life and open career opportunities for their children.
Surveillance Footage and Ongoing Police Inquiry According to statements from Chelsea Senase and home security footage retrieved by investigators, an unidentified individual wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt exited a blue sedan parked on West 18th Place near Western Avenue. The suspect approached the porch, discharged a firearm multiple times striking Mr. Senase, and fled the scene in the waiting vehicle. Detectives with the Area Three Homicide Unit continue to review neighborhood surveillance video, and no arrests have been announced by the Chicago Police Department.
