The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Peter Sinamai, for allegedly killing his father and dumping his corpse in an abandoned well in Sangere, Gombi Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement issued on Friday, the command’s spokesman, Suleiman Nguroje, said the suspect was arrested following a report received by operatives of the command.
Nguroje stated, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect allegedly killed his father and disposed of his body in a well within their community.
“The state Commissioner of Police, Kabiru Hassan, has ordered a thorough investigation into the matter to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“The corpse has been recovered and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy. The suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.”
The spokesperson said the condemned the act and reassured the public of the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property and ensuring that justice would be served.
He further urged members of the public to always seek lawful and peaceful means of resolving family disputes and to seek appropriate intervention whenever conflicts arise.
